Many non-passionate, Adsense and money craving bloggers try blogging the easy way out. They fill up their full content with RSS from various other similar websites or blogs. It may look, and believe me, may sometimes work easier, but on the long hand your blog is nothing but a dead blog.
RSS Blogs are what I call "Selling Blogs". These blogs have no valid content, all they have is content from various other sites all packed into one and they seriously lack personal content. No one will read automated blogs. In fact an automated blog rarely make it to search engines and get a high PR.
Besides, RSS is an excellent way of producing content to your blog when you dont have any thing to blog about, however you should never make RSS as your full blog content.
Remember a blog is your own Creation. Always make it innovative and personal.

Promoting your site through Youtube.com

For those who have watched any new youtube videos recently, (I'm sure you have) you might have noticed some shameless site-promotion going on. Usually on the comments section. Some of these include comments such as these.
" Great vid, try "blahbla.com" for cam girls"
or
"youtube is not good for porn, try adgdgd. dot com"
These methods of spamming, is somewhat succesful, however it wont last for long and the sites reputation will not last.
I'm not here to talk to you guys on spamming techniques. ( for your sites sake don't spam!) I'm simply going to talk to you how you can drive traffic to youtube the right way. By making videos.
The first step is to get a camera or a webcam or if you want to show your desktop activity a program such as deskshare .
The next step is to watch various other videos of your same niche. This helps you understand what people are looking for in that particular niche and how its attracting people.
Later, make the video. This might sound easy but this is the hardest part. chose your location or recording device wisely and remember the comments you might get in youtube might be negative and unappealing, so do your best to eliminate the flaws you might have in your video and be innovative. And as always give them what they need. information!
The final step is to put in your site url on the video. This could go under credits ( after the video) or right before ( for example, this video is brought to you by cashound.blogspot.com). Also remember to put you site URL in the video description tag as well. Alternatively you can put an image of your site as a watermark on the video. There are many video editing software which does this, just google it up.

Why Article Promotion is Still Important to get Traffic

As I started this blog, one of the first things I did was to submit my articles to many article directories like Ezine Articles, and goarticles. Safe to say it still takes a key role in driving traffic to my site.
From my own experience I've realised that the traffic driven by article submission ( which is known as "Viral Marketing") actually contains adsense traffic. The reason behind this is quite straightforward. People ( or should I say Naive people) who are looking for a niche ( for the first time) first use these sites as means of information. Why? because they are safe and have a good reputation. So obviously one of them might spot your article ( in fact a single article recieves at least 500 views) and will find your article useful and will want some more, then he/she would most probably dig into the source and will go to your site. Thus another unique visitor.
Article submission is also important in many Search engine optimization techniques. a link back from these directories are very useful since they have a very high page rank ( make it a rule to submit articles to sites with high PR). Plus google indexes these pages constantly and when they catch your link, well who knows you might be in for a good treat.
Another important factor in article submission is that it is open to anybody to just copy and paste on their website. So in other words your article gets lot of exposure with it your link too.
As I said before most of my traffic comes from article submission it-self. And an imprtant rule I make when submitting to these directories is to write good content. since the readers will judge you on your content, and content alone. Do not "sell" on your articles, just give useful information. And finally keep it short and simple!

Find Domain Names with Bust-a-Domain

So you've thought about starting a new website or a blog, or perhaps your looking for a new domain for your old one, well stop wasting time on godaddy looking up each and every domain name to see if it's available.
Bust-a-Name is a free tool which makes your journey towards online stardom a little bit easier. just pop in some words and this tool will find an available domain name for you. It even suggests synonyms. So it's kinda like a thesaurus mixed with a domain name finder. well literary.
Plus it even registers the domain for you. You can request as many as you want.
I will be surely using this tool when I feel the need for my own domain name.

Ever tried Offline Marketing for more Traffic?

Sick of adwords, directory submissions, social bookmarking and various online traffic generating methods? well don't be, since those methods really work. However right now im not here to talk to you on them, I'm going to write about something different, actually totally opposite. Offline marketing!
Most people spend countless dollars and time on online marketing. Not that its not important, but most bloggers or webmasters are missing an important aspect of Marketing. How often have you thought of promoting your website or blog to the outside world without the internet? I myself never thought about it until a few weeks ago, and trust me that move was very rewarding.
Okay let's cut the crap and see how we can drive potential customers.
1) Give out Flyers - This was the first method which struck into my head when I was trying out offline marketing. The fact that I do a paper run my self was a big help. Just go to a printing press and print out a few thousand advertisements and give em out. If by chance you decide not to print out the papers well just take a few pieces of paper and write down your site address. But if your really down with this method, then go to your local paper delivery guys and get a contract, which is the easiest since you only have to pay for it.
2) Decals - This next method is for those who travel a lot, By your own car of course. A friend of worked out this method and got really impressive results, as a matter of fact he himself showed me the major increase in traffic and alexa ranking. I personally didn't use this method since I Don't really go out by car, I take a bus instead ( Cars = pollution :P).
3) Posters - This method is really effective but can be quite controversial. Putting up poster and banners on the streets is fine as long as you don't do it illegally.
4) Word of mouth - This is a very basic method and is quite self-explanatory. When I go out I always tell people about my blog. In front of friends or in a meeting, you can always tell the folks about your website.
Offline Marketing is very effective and is very under-rated.

Shareapic : Earn money by uploading Images

What's the latest, around the 'Get paid to' community? quite simply picture sharing. Shareapic.net is an online picture sharing community where you get paid to upload your pictures. The theme of your images can vary, but avoid nudity, as it is against the site's terms & conditions.
How do I get paid?
You get paid a few dollars depending on the amount of views your pictures get. You also get paid for referrals. The site also has a cool feature if you have an adsense account. You first submit your adsense id, and your adsense ads will be shown every time your pics are viewed.
Is there a minimum amount?
Is, shareapic has a minimum amount of $20. which is not so hard if you know where to promote your images ;)
Conclusion
Share-a-pic is not exactly a get rich quick program. However since the amount depends on the number of page views your pictures get you can earn a pretty decent amount, if you know where exactly to promote them ( pictures).
What I do is, post my unique link to my gallery or an individual pic on a forum or post a bulletin on myspace. What to chose is your choice but for me forum posting is much better since the traffic is unlimited, and also because my 'myspace' friends rarely read bulletins. ;P

Blog Posting : Frequency or size?
Recently Whilst browsing a few blogs on the 'blogsphere' I came across a lot of blogs which had, memorable and a few not so memorable content. What makes the blogs' content memorable is obviously its posts, and in this case post frequency was what I used as a platform.
Call me a prejudice but many of you out there who visit blogs stick to one blog which has a high post frequency. Would you, however go in search of the size of each post in a blog? like many of us bloggers there are many users who are busy with what they do and do not have time to spend reading huge passages online. A short post will-no matter what bloggers might say- attract it's visitors into actually reading it, and if that users is new to your blog, he or she would have a clear idea on what your blog is about and whether or not it has valuable content.
Lets face it most of us dont quite get into the habit of reading on the internet. I download tonnes of ebooks each day, only to find it stacked in my hard drive. This is the same with blog users, they don't come in search of lengthly boring posts, they come for good short but informative content. Don't get me wrong because by short I do not mean less posts, your post frequency should be what you should aim for whilst keeping your posts short and sweet.
Until another post, this is P.B siging off ;)

Adsense For Search : Finding Money or Not

Adsense for search is not just another revenue generating tool sitting on your website. It's a tool which helps both you and the user. How does it help me, apart from generating revenue? one might ask, the answer is simple: most people have one common missing feature on their website or blog. A search feature, visitors are not always going to spend hours on your site trying to browse through content. They need fast and effective results. This is where the google search box comes in. It provides you, the webmaster, with an important tool plus it provides the visitor with fast results.
I personally have seen many adsense users trying to eliminate (in search for a better term :P) the search box feature from their site. Even I have. However what they (and I) don't understand is that they are missing a certain part of their revenue.
Just think of it this way. okay for a second put yourself on the users position. you are browsing a site and feel like you need more. Instead of typing google.com the user sees a search box on your site. Chances are he will search for more content through that search box. and thus clicking on a revenue generating ad. It's quite effective since the user is seaching for targeted content. I recently read about search boxes from a guy called Joel Comm, He had this to say : "If a visitor doesn't find anything useful in my site, I'd prefer they leave some change in the 'tip jar' on the way out of the door"
However a search box has it's own disadvantages. First of all the chances for a visitor clicking on an ad generating revenue is rather small, secondly the webmaster has no control over the keywords, and most search terms won't be high paying keywords.
overall a search box is close to vital to any website. But you must cope with it's own disadvantages as well.

Get FREE Targeted Traffic

I've seen loads of people who spend countless bucks, investing on websites. May it be for hosting or advertising. Most of these naive people lose money and before they know it their website is down. hence having a major loss.
#1 Get a blog instead of a website. The possibilities are endless but you are going to use it for your affiliate business. Why? Because it absolutely FREE to get one. You can put your big long affiliate link in the back office of your blog and people will only see the title you give it. A blog will do everything that a website will and the search engines love them because search engines are looking for good quality content. The one I use is www.blogger.com. and I am set up with the new blogger. Recently they have made some changes to their whole set up and it really is amazing now. There are a bunch of templates to choose from and you can change the template, colors, fonts, pictures, links, banners..etc every ten minutes if you wanted. Also you will be able to pick a domain that the search engines will pick up on. It will look like this http://whateveryouwant.blogspot.com. Take your time and pick a good name.
#2 Next you are going to learn to write articles and join article submission companies. Don't let this scare you. It is easier than you think. They can be about anything you feel confident talking about. Stay at home moms can write about child raising. Men can write about good fishing techniques. It doesn't matter what type of articles you write about. What matters is the link you put in your articles that direct people back to your blog site. It is a little box called "resource box" or "about the author". You are going to post your articles with articles directories and on your blog site. Set a goal for yourself. Weekly I will join 3 article submission companies and write one article. Something according to the time you have to work every week. Every time you post to your blog you are going to use a little tool called pingomatic.com/ which simply lets the search engines know you have a new post. After a little while you will get the viral effect going as people start sharing your articles. You'll be amazed how effective this is.
#3 You are also going to be able to do link exchanges with other sites. Go to Google and punch in "link exchange with other websites" or anything along those lines. You will have a few million possibilities to choose from. After you pick one in your back office (or dashboard area)of your blog you will see posts, settings, layout. Click on layout. Then click add a page element. Then you will see html/javascript which is where you will paste any html you have copied from sites you want to link with. Don't do too many as this will make your blog look tacky. This is also where you paste banners from your affiliate back office. Paste it here and there it is on your blog. Simple! Now you are getting hits from other sites.
#4 Another way of getting free targeted hits to your new blog (and of course your affiliate site which is on your blog) is to participate in forums. All the articles sites I suggested earlier have forums on them also you can join or once again punch "discussion business forums" or "message board about marketing" into Google. In your profile area (on these article sites or message boards)you will have a box called signature. This is where you put your blog url. Some of them have codes to make them click able when you post but you'll figure it out. Usually it means putting [URL] in front of your blog url and something similar at the back.Once you figure it out start posting to these discussions and don't be afraid to ask questions. But be sincere and don't say anything too offensive. This is of course another way to get your link out there in cyberspace. These discussions don't go away and it's like they are trapped in time for future surfers. Set a goal like 2 posts a day and watch what happens over a month or two. If your affiliate program has key code tracking you will be able to see where your hits are coming from.
So there are a few solid ways I bet you didn't know about. Pace yourself financially before you start your own home business. This is a learning curve that takes time. Get going and remember we eat an elephant one bite at a time.

PreSell, not Sell

This book has it that people in their own affiliate program who earned Conversation Rates as low as 1%-2% were actually selling the 'site build it!' (the name of their website) affiliate program entirely on their website. Means the website is made for the affiliate program. and lack what visitors need the most, CONTENT! CONTENT, CONTENT, I can say it a hundred times, because content is THE most valuable part of one's website. Visitors come in to sites in search of content, and when they see that the site is based on products, Whoosh! they are gone!
Ok! lets say that one of them to clicked through. The process follows, the visitor enters your site full of advertising, (only based on the products/affiliate program.) No content. clicks through an Ad in your site, goes to the merchant's site and see more of the product reviews. Will they be tempted to purchase? or an action for that matter? This is why most Affiliates aren't successful, thay do not understand the visitors need, The visitor is THE most important in the process not the merchant. You must convince the visitor to make an action, and the merchant will do the rest (Stats, Revenue etc.)
Now lets see why Pre-selling works best. The book says that affiliiates earning more than 10% of their respective sites were mostly PREsellers. Pre selling is simple. First convince your visitor to your site by Content! nothing related to the merchant(program) but content related to the the visitors need. Ok lets take an example. I love Soccer, see my other site www.soccerlinks.co.nr lets say my site I put information on soccer training, Some links, History, Information, Clubs, News and so on! People will come to my site in search of content related to these matters. They find it and frequently visit my site in search of it. They all ready think of me as an expert in the field because I have added content! and I put some of the merchant ads (not banners, banners won't do well believe me I've tried them No use, visitors develop banner blindness) let's say Text links, linking to the merchant. and I blend them with my content. say I've got content on soccer training and I'm selling an ebook. I add content on training and saying in some place that there is an ebook which you(visitor) will find interesting and ad a link to the merchants site. and the visitors will be tempted since you as an expert is advising the visitor to do an action.
It will always be that Preselling is better than Selling. Visitors seek Pro advice not the stuff from a site dedicated fully to the program. Content is the most valuable part of a website. and with it comes PREselling!!

Brainstorming for Content on your Blog

1) The very best way to brainstorm is to see what other bloggers have to say about stuff happening in your field of discussion. And the very best way to find related blogs is to use http://blogsearch.google.com/ or www.technorati.com. There are other decent search tools too, you just have to look around. From other blogs, you can gather more knowledge on your subject and you can also comment on what others have to say on your own blog!
2) Once you’ve established contacts with other bloggers in your field, you’ll have quite an inexhaustible “conversation” ongoing, so you’ll not need to actively search for content to write about. However, if you’re still stuck, search for news articles related to your niche in the local newspaper or online through sites like http://news.google.com and http://news.yahoo.com.
3) You can also have conversations with people with the same interest as you in the particular niche you choose, so you will eventually build up a bank of questions and answers and interesting discussions to write about in your blog. To do this, join forums related to your niche, but don’t join every forum there is out there. Stick with one or two with the biggest number of members or the one which is most focused on your niche. This will also come in handy much later in gaining traffic and generating profits.
Remember to keep up your momentum of posting at least once per day (or more if you have a lot of content to write about) so that the major search engines will know that your blog has fresh content everyday. This will attract the search engines to spider your page on a more frequent basis, hence gaining you extra traffic.

6 Mistakes People Make with Adsense

I didn´t make this Adsense error but if you aren't using Adsense
Channels you are losing money and don´t have a way of tracking
your development. If you don't believe me, set up at least URL
channels for your pages and you'll see in real time what works and
what does not.
#2 - Using the horizontal format
So far, the results are much better when people use the vertical
format.
#3 - Placing Adsense Ad Units on the top, bottom, right and
left of content
The Adsense publisher community may not totally agree, but don't
hide your ads by neatly stuffing them on the borders of your site.
Put your Adsense Ad Unit in the middle where your visitor will be
forced to see them. It's not that your visitor doesn't want to see the
ads it's that over the years of web surfing we've become blind to
traditional banner locations.
#4 - Adding your sites to the filter out list
One Webmaster thought that the way to let Google know that you
wanted to add additional sites to your AdSense account was to list
the URLs under the Advanced options tab. In reality, this tab is used
to list the sites you want to filter out (i.e., not display AdWords) on
your site. Google automatically knows what pages you want to
include under your AdSense account when you add the code to the
pages.
So, you can add any site you own without additional paperwork.
#5 - Not testing.
Because of the limited information Google currently supplies, this can
be difficult. Nonetheless, you want to see what works and what
doesn’t on your site. Experiment.
#6 - Applying too early.
If you don’t have at least 20 good content pages and some traffic,
you’ll most likely be rejected.
Not applying because you believe 'this isn’t for me'.
Sure, there are situations where using AdSense doesn’t make sense.
However, we believe that AdSense will benefit many people who
currently have decided the program isn’t for them.
For example, we’ve heard from a number of professionals who feel
that having AdWords on their sites will ‘taint their image.’ That’s
possible, we suppose. However, we believe that for most
professionals, the added credibility gained by having ‘Ads by Google’
on your site (and the correct assumption by visitors that Google has
therefore checked you out at least a little), more than compensates
for this potential downside.

Free Tools For Blogger Blogs

- Haloscan - Haloscan provides blogger users with a simple service which is unfortunatly not found in blogger. It provides users with Trackback A Trackback is one of three types of linkbacks, methods for web authors to request notification when somebody links to one of their documents. This enables authors to keep track of who is linking to, or referring to their articles. you have the privilage to add a code in order to track-back to your blog. They also provide users with Haloscan comments. True you do find comments in blogger, but you do not have the privilage to edit them you can only delete them. So any which way using this tool is a win win situation for any blogger user.
- Technorati - Claim your blog now with technorati. With almost all the blogs in the blogsphere listed in technorati, listing your own blog here is essential. It is also a thick social-bookmarking site which helps to drive traffic. You start by embedding a code to your blog. the "result" of the code is of course a technorati button. This button allows fellow technorati users browsing your blog to save your blog as a favorite. Its pretty basic stuff
- Blogpatrol - Blogpatrol is a next-generation blog stat tool. It gives blogger users with 100s of stats regarding their blogs. And the best thing is that the service is Free! know where your traffic is coming from, see which keywords are used in major search engines by users to view your blog. Check out user activity in real-time. Overall for me this is the best site meter for blogs at the moment.
- Mybloglog - Mybloglog is a blog community with enthusiastic bloggers all part of an exellent community. not only does this service help you build a community around your blog and drive traffic it also provides you with stats and a blog counter. However you need to pay in order to enjoy premium benefits.
- w.bloggar - w.bloggar is a real time post and edit template tool for blogger. You can also manage multiple blogs under one username and theme. This is really useful for bloggers with multiple blogs hosted on various hosts.
- Blogger Mobile - Moblogging is creating a huge buzz around the blogger community at the moment. Blogger mobile allows you to moblog i.e blog via a mobile phone. all you have to do is send in your posts as text messages to this service and its automatically posted in your blogger account. Extremely useful for bloggers on the move :P

The 3 Best Methods for Internet Marketing

Alright now im going to talk about something totally out of the box. actually it isnt something I've been focussing on. Thats the various marketing methods out there. I have been talking about SEO but here im presenting you with the methods of various internet marketing options.
SEO Optimization
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the first because the free advertising afforded by the search engines is partly determined by on-page optimization techniques. With thousands of new Websites being created daily, the competition for a listing on the first search result page is increasingly saturated for the popular keywords. Statistics show better than 90% of people only look at the first search result page, and a similar percentage only click on the top search listing.
In order to compete effectively, a Web page must be designed around a keyword or more effectively, a keyword phrase. The keywords must be included in the page's title, keyword META tag, page's description, the first heading (using the H1 HTML tag), throughout the body of the page and within the last 25 words on the page. These are just a few of the basic SEO on-page options that although will not guarantee a first page listing, are definitely required as a starting point in an effective Internet marketing strategy.
In most cases, there is too much competition for certain keywords such as "golf clubs". A better strategy would be to use "golf clubs Chicago" or handcrafted golf clubs". The more specific you make your keyword phrase the better. A number of free tools are available that will show the popularity of keywords and how often they are used in the search engines on a monthly basis. These will allow you to customize your Web page knowing the keyword phrase's popularity. If you get the first page listing for a keyword with less than 100 searches per month for instance, then it doesn't matter because your traffic will be very limited.
Link Exchanges
Once the on-page optimizations are complete, the off-page optimization options need to be addressed. Link exchanges are perhaps the best off-page SEO technique available. If you download and install the Google toolbar on your browser, you will see the Google PageRank of each site you visit. Your PageRank is determined by the number of other sites linking to your site, and the QUALITY of the link is a major consideration. Pages are ranked from 1 to 10. The higher the PageRank of the site linking to yours, the better. Sites with a PR7 and above are considered as authority sites and a back link will send Google's spider to your page on a regular basis.
There are a number of ways to get a back link to your site. You can email a request to the Webmaster for a link exchange and if they agree you would return the favor by placing a link to their site on your page. You can also purchase the link. A number of sites offer this service for a monthly fee. So if you want to quickly get your site listed by Google and the major search engines, then paying for a PR8 back link for a month or two might be well worth the investment in the long run, as new sites are placed in a "sand box" by Google for several months until they prove their longevity.
One back link from a PR8 site is worth 1,000 back links from PR2 or less sites. As a matter of fact, numerous links from low ranking sites will actually be detrimental to your site, because each back link is like a vote for your site. If you have too many low ranking sites voting for yours, Google will be reluctant to reward your site with a higher PR. You have to do your research on the site that offers to link to yours because if they were blacklisted by Google, your site will receive the same fate and you probably will never recover from this.
A PR 4 or 5 is relatively easy to attain. So your best bet is to limit your back links to PR5 and above for the best results. And by all means avoid link farms. Before Google upgraded its algorithm, just the number of back links was considered. But now the actual PageRank of your back link is considered AND the PageRank of the sites listing to THAT link. Links from link farms are now looked upon as basically spam links. You would be better off purchasing a listing in a major link directory like Yahoo or DMZ. It's definitely worth the investment as these are authority sites and are a major vote for your site!
Blogs
As previously indicated, consumer generated media is a major factor in the evolution of the Internet. Case in point is the enormous effect blogs had on the last Presidential campaign. A very large percentage of most searches will include blogs on the first page listing. Over 50% of purchases, online and offline, are preceded by an online search for more information. And a large percentage of the information is offered by blogs. People are very interested in the opinions of others on their topic of interest.
The major blogs are updated on a daily basis which is very important to Google's algorithm which uses the frequency of updates (daily, hourly and by minute) as a determining factor in the search result ranking. A powerful marketing method used by the major blogs is to submit articles on a particular topic to the major article hubs such as EzineArticles.com. The article hub benefits by having continually updated information (which Google likes) where they can place their money making AdSense ads. The blogger benefits by having a back link to their blog at the bottom of the article.
As numerous other bloggers and Webmasters access the article hubs for fresh information, the article can be syndicated virally to a number sites on the Internet. This creates a number of back links to your blog or your site generating an enormous amount of pre-qualified free traffic.
In Summary
These are just a few of the most effective online Internet marketing options available. Other options such as auto-responder email, Ezine advertising and pay per click advertising should be included in a well rounded Internet marketing strategy. No matter what options you use, you definitely need to start with your on-page SEO techniques. Your listing in the search results will be enhanced by a properly optimized page.
Further optimization must include the off-page SEO techniques such as generating back links with the major site directories, link exchanges and articles submitted to the major article hubs. Using a blog for a reference in your article can be a good thing as people will be more inclined to visit a blog since it's not a sales page. Once they have received enough information and you have generated their confidence in your opinions, you can end up with a life time customer.Posted by P.B at 10:31 PM 0 comments

StumbleUpon : Tutorial

Well as you may know Stumbleupon.com is a leading social-bookmarking site and if supposing you get to list your site on it you will get a decent amount of traffic. targetted traffic to be specific.
Alot of people have been asking me how exactly to get things under way with stumbleupon. well ive decided to do a tutorial. here it is.
first of all you need to download the toolbar.
register on the site stumbleupon.com
after you register login and download the toolbar. I dont think you need my help in explaining how to install the toolbar.
after you install it you might need to restart your browser. then you see the toolbar on your browser.
alright now comes the tricky bit, first go to your homepage, wait until it loads fully, then click on the button ( on the toolbar) "I like it" ( the thumbs up button) after that you will need to fill in some details, thats optional ( remember to submit the details though).]
after that repeat the same process ( clicking the thumbs up button) on each page of your site. By page I mean each link other than the homepage, for example "www.myhomepage.com/article1"
The important thing is to stumble as many pages from your site as possible. Do it for every page!!

GOOGLE Adsense Time to get Real!

There are many sites you can visit on the internet which tell you how much money they are making using Google Adsense. They even show you some screenshots of their earnings.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be something odd in all of this? If you were making thousands or tens of thousands of dollars every month, would you start selling an ebook for $47 telling other people how to do it? Would you just get bored with making all of that money and give it up in order to sell your secret for a few dollars?!
I am not saying that it is impossible to make a huge amount of money with Adsense. What I am saying, is that it is not easy. There is no get-rich-quick scheme. However, if you do put the work in and follow some basic rules, then there is a great chance to earn some serious money.
One way is to do it by quantity. What I mean by this, is to build 100s if not 1000s of sites. This will make you money, but also takes a huge amount of investment buying the domains names and hosting and building the actual sites themselves. To build 500 sites will cost you thousands of dollars.
There is also the risk that with all of this investment, you will become banned by Google Adsense become of a mistake that you have made. When this happens, you will lose your entire kingdom and empire.
However, there are easier ways to increase your revenue with even just one site:
1. Use the large rectangle to display your ads. Again and again tests show that this is the best performing ad.
2. Create the text in your ad as black. The url should be either black depending on the site. The advantage of blue, is that this is the default color for links and so visitors are used to clicking on these URLs.
3. Another format which works is to use the horizontal banner with an image or images above it. This will bring attention to the ads, and make people click on them.
4. Ensure that the traffic coming to your ad is interested in what you have to say. If the ad is not relevant to them, then they will not click on it. There is no point in driving huge amounts of traffic to your site as the click-thru rate will be extremely low and will not payout in the long-run.
5. You constantly need to be testing what you are doing and making changes to try and improve your click-thru rate and the cost that you are being paid per ad. If you are not doing this, then you are leaving serious money on the table as there are always ways to improve your ad and therefore your click-thru rate
6. Continuously move forward. What I mean by this, is that you must always build new sites and improve your current sites. If you are not doing this, then your Adsense revenue will actually decrease.
7. If you want to earn a serious amount of money from your site, then it is vital that you are building a site around the correct keywords and optimizing your pages towards these keywords. If you wish to view a great list of high-paying keywords, then please visit:

How To Avoid Really Pissing Off Your Website Visitors!
Here are 13 tips to follow when setting up your website.
1. Avoid Pop Ups.
They come in many different varieties: entry pop ups, exit pop ups, delayed, small, large, multiple, flying, scrolling, browser locking, surf stopping, must be cleared to move on.
Web surfers hate pop ups! So why do they continue to appear all over the Internet? Simple. They work.
2. What good are Splash pages anyway?
Why would you put up your company logo and make your visitors hit a click here to enter link when there is no reason for them to not have entered already?
Get to the point! You only have about eight seconds to interest the typical visitor so do not throw any obstacles like splash pages in front of them.
3. Flash introductions are another example of annoying your visitors.
Why would someone download a 2 meg Flash intro when the only thing they want is information? Provide your visitors with the option of skipping the Flash presentation.
4. Get rid of those dead, dead links.
Nothing gets rid of a visitor faster than clicking on a text link that goes nowhere.
5. Requiring your visitors to register first before visiting your website.
You need to build trust with your visitors before expecting them to give up their name and email address.
Provide some useful information and stroke your visitors interest before asking for any information.
6. Slow page downloads.
When I have to wait more then a few seconds to see any information, guess what? I am gone, never to return.
If your ISP has slow servers, then find a new one. If you have alot of files that load with your site, then get rid of them. Use links instead. Why no let your visitors decide if they want to watch a movie?
7. Update your websites content often.
Take advantage of new Internet technology and have the content of your website updated daily. Have you heard of RSS Feeds?
8. Filling your website with small, hard to read text.
Follow this simple rule. Your text needs to be easy to read if you want people to absorb your message. Font size 2 is the smallest that should be used.
9. Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
What do the search engines prefer? Underlined text links. Top and bottom, on every page. Do not make your visitors waste their time trying to find the link to the information they are really looking for. The simpler the navigation the longer your visitors will stay. Use clear and descriptive labeling for buttons and text links.
TIP: Avoid underlining words that are not links. You do not want your visitors getting annoyed when they try to click on what they think is a link. Use italics or boldface instead.
10. Can your visitors find your contact information?
I have been to many sites where I could not find a phone number, address or even an email address. What does this tell you about a website that does not want anyone to contact them?
11. Do you have a search tool for your website?
If you have a website with dozens of pages, then you should provide a search box for your visitors to find what they need.
Many search engines will give you a free search tool for your site. So use it.
12. Why would anyone have lots of links to other websites from your homepage?
We spend alot of time and effort into attracting visitors to our website, so why would provide them with an option to leave? Visitors are you prospects. You need to not only get them to your site but you must keep them there while providing them with information and other pages within your site.
13. Disabling the back button, a big mistake!
If someone hits the back button on your site then they probably have not found what they are looking for.
What else may upset your visitors?
- Colors that hurt the eyes or make it hard to read anything on your page.
- A company logo that takes up half of the monitor.
- The site menu is hard to find.
- Homepage goes on forever. Visitors have to scroll down, way down, before finding any useful information.
- Website contains text which is full of spelling and grammatical errors.
- What do you think may be the best way to confuse your visitors? Clutter your pages with a ton of ads and banners. This will surely frustrate your visitors and cause them to leave, quickly.
There are many ways to frustrate your visitors.
So try visiting your website while keeping in mind that anything that you find annoying, may be one reason for your visitors not to stick around.Posted by P.B at 10:28 AM 0 comments

Chitka - Pay per click affiliate program

Chitka is kind of a new program that has gained success over a short period of time. They offer an affiliate program for their eMiniMalls.
eMiniMalls uses some slick Javascript code to very easily embed product related reviews, shopping links and more into your web site. Chitika, by default, uses manual targeting of products to your pages. For each page, you can enter a keyword, or series of keywords, that match the products you would like to promote, and Chitika will show the best matches.
Since the ads are manually targeted by default, the program is in compliance with Google's Terms & Conditions for AdSense, and makes an excellent compliment to that program. A wide variety of different coloured ads are available to choose from, which in terms match with your site. Chitika generates revenue on a pay-per-click basis when your visitors click on the links in the Best Deals section, or the product itself.
Revenue share is 60% currently and Paypal is an available payment option. Reports for Chitika are a bit basic at the moment - hopefully something they will improve upon in the near future. Click values have been reported to us as in the $0.20 to $0.50 range generally, but over $1.00 in some cases, with overall CPMs reported in the $4 to $60 range. WOW!!

Blogging for SEO Success

The rise and rise of blogging as part of the web 2.0 phenomenon has taken the internet by storm. Savvy web marketers are now using blogs as an additional weapon to generate leads, add credibility and improve their search engine rankings. Here are six reasons why you should consider blogging.
Blogging is gret fun! Yes, blogging can be great fun. Just open you posting window and go for it without the restrictions of corporate style guides and other impediments to creativity. Got something to say? Just say it. The other fun aspect of blogging is that people can post comments about your blog posts. You posts plus reader comments all become valuable food for the search engines.
Blogging is dirt cheap. The most powerful blogging systems are free. Wordpress seems to be the blogging standard and now comes standard with many cheap web hosting packages. For less than $100 per year anyone can get their own domain with blogging included.
I wouldn't use one of the free blogging services unless you are really desperate. You can't be sure if they will always remain free and your posts will be building up someone else' asset rather than your own.
Blogging is fast and easy. If you can use notepad you can blog. The user interface is very intuitive and allows you to add and edit, text, pictures, videos, whatever you want. Want to change the look and layout of your blog? There's literally hundreds of themes available that take less than a minute to upload and install.
It gives you products and services personality. People like to do business with people they like. By blogging you show your target market that there is a real person behind the company you represent. By reading you blog posts thet get an idea of what you're all about - warts and all. The personal aspect of blogging is one of it's most powerful characteristics.
Your blog becomes another Internet asset. Some blog sites get thousands and thousands of readers each day. This traffic can be converted to hard, cold cash through Google Adsense advertising, affiliate programs and straight advertising space sale. Once you blog increases it's Google PageRank, you also get the benefit of linking out from your blog site to other web sites you want to promote.
Search engines just love blogs. It is said in many SEO forums that Google staff are great bloggers and subsequently Google spiders and indexes blogs more frequently that normal web sites. This may just be a rumour, but I have found it to be true in my case. If you blog every day there's a good chance Google and the other major search engines will spider your blog every day looking for that new content.

Keywords in SEO: the Key to Success

Ever wondered that why is it that the search engine produces the desired results only when one uses a particular word or phrase. This is called the keyword or the keyphrase and search engine optimization (SEO) services are completely focussed around this magical word.
The importance of the right word can be gauged from the fact that only a particular word or a phrase brings out the desired results for the user. Even using synonyms of a particular word does not yield the kind of results that are displayed on a using a specific word or phrase. The importance of the keyword(s) for the Internet surfer is known to all, but the importance that it has for people involved in e-commerce and wanting to popularise their website on the Search Engine Result Page (SERP) is unfathomable for a layman.
Search engines use these key words and phrases to scan for websites and then rank them according to their relevance to the word. Hence, it becomes imperative for everyone involved in Internet marketing, niche marketing and online promotion to undertake 'keyword research' with the assistance of SEO services providers. Extensive research is undertaken by the team of optimizers and others who are a part of the search engine optimization services to figure out the right word that can bring the website on the top.
These days, search engine optimization service providers use a number of advanced tools to track down appropriate keywords like Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery. They not only help in finding the right keywords, but also determines the popularity or commonness factor, thereby helping website owners to ascertain the degree of competition. One of the major aspects to be kept in mind while deciding upon the keyword is that it must not be too generic, because if it is already so common, then it will bring up numerous websites, which will only increase competition and affect placement on the SERP.
Determination of the appropriate keywords with the help of SEO Services can work wonders for people involved in Internet marketing. A website's success depends upon the traffic diverted towards it from search engines and to attain a prominent position on the SERP, use of the apt keyword or phrase is necessary.

SEO - Do It The Right Way

There is a lot of information about search engine optimization (seo) going around online and not everything what people tell you is true. There are e-book authors out there who tell their readers not to include any meta tags in their websites. They say that search engines don't read the meta tags these days. Do not believe these things read this article to get a real picture about seo. The right keywords Before you can start with search engine optimization, you need to know for what keyword you are going to optimize your website. Finding the right keywords is the first step to take and also the most important one. If you choose the wrong keywords, then you will have a hard time getting into the top 10 search results. You need to find keywords with very low competition so that you can reach a top 10 position even with little back-links. When you are searching for the right keywords make sure they have less than 100.000 competing websites on google. You can get this number by doing a simple search on google. With the results they also show the number of results. The lower the number, the better for you to get a top 10 ranking.
The figure you need to care about is the number of monthly searches for your keywords. Make sure you use keywords that people are actually searching for. You can use several tools to get the number of monthly searches, for example the overture tool or the wordtracker tool. Onpage Optimization Nobody knows the algorithm of the google search engine, so nobody can tell you for sure how exactly your website has to look like. Only through a lot of testing and tracking you can get a hint on what you need to change on your website to get a better ranking.
There are still some basic things that you want to look at: - The Website Title (in the header section of your html source code) should have your keyword included. It should not be longer than 10 words. - The Meta Description is used to display the search results, even at google. That's why a good meta description is very important! - The Meta Keywords are not that important but you should make sure that your keywords are included. Don't include keywords that can not be found in your body text and do not practice any keyword stuffing methods. - The Body Text.
Google doesn't look much at your keyword density but they look if your keyword is included. That means use your keywords throughout the text where it makes sense but don't worry about having a 1% or 3% keyword density. - The H1,H2,H3 tags. Search engines love structured documents, so they also love the headline tags. Use your keywords in the h1,h2 and h3 tags but don't do any keyword stuffing. - Image alt tags are very important if you do not have much text on your website but can also help to increase your ranking if you have much text. Use keywords in the alt tags but again do not use them too often. These are the most important on-page factors to look at. Of course you need to have a valid html code and a good link-structure but the above points are major important and can boost your ranking when done right.
Always remember that you can only get a top 10 ranking by also doing off-page optimization. Off-Page Optimization A lot can be done wrong when doing offpage optimization. Google had a major update on his algorithm at the beginning of 2007. Did you remember the google bombs that used to make pages rank for not relevant search terms? Doesn't work anymore since that update! They have also updated their spam detector, a lot of peoples websites dropped in the search results because they used paid advertisements at certain traffic portals and other grey-hat methods. The way to go nowadays is called "natural link building". This means you create links over a very long time period using different methods. If you submit to directories, then submit to 10 directories every day over a period of 100 days. This way it seems as if your links were build naturally by other people. There are many ways you can get back-links to your website in a natural way. You can: - provide good content and people will link to you without any effort on your part. This is the most natural and most effective way of link building! - write articles and distribute them to many different article directories.
Your articles get picked up by other people who publish your article at their website with a back-link to your website. This way of building back-links is still very natural and can't be detected by search engines. In the worst case they would not count the links in the article directories or only count them once because of duplicate content. - do 3-way link exchanges. This means you have 2 different websites on 2 different servers with 2 different ip's. You exchange links with other websites by placing their link on your first website and then place the link of your second website on their website. This way you get 1-way links to your second website.
Avoid things like guest-book spamming, ffa sites, link-farms and websites with more than 100 links on the page where your link will be. Finally work on building links every day over a period of at least 100 days. This way you ensure a continues growth of your link-popularity.
